Overview

PayBrief is a UK personal finance app for calculating take-home pay and managing budgets. We take your privacy seriously.

Data We Collect

PayBrief stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Your salary and deduction settings
• Your budget categories and outgoing items
• Your payment calendar entries

This data never leaves your device except as described below.

AI Statement Import Feature

If you purchase and use the AI Statement Import feature:

• Your bank statement file is sent to Anthropic’s API via our secure proxy server for processing
• Only the text content of the statement is transmitted
• Anthropic does not store your statement data after processing
• We do not store your statement data on any server
• Imported payment data is saved locally on your device only
• Please review Anthropic’s Privacy Policy for details of how they handle data

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Anthropic’s API (only when you use the AI Statement Import feature, as described above)

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We do not operate any servers that store your personal financial data.

Children’s Privacy

PayBrief is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
